Studio art workshops

Your art workshop will be in the brand new hempcrete studio in the Durham Dales(as featured on Grand Designs). You will benefit from learning in a natural environment with plenty of light, soft acoustics and lovely far-reaching views over upland hay meadows.

The studio offers a unique and intimate natural environment in which to explore and develop your own creativity.

There’s no right or wrong here, just the freedom to explore

Why Me as a Teacher

I teach through demonstration, practice and personal guidance.

I will encourage you to look for the essence of your subject and how to translate that onto the page with confidence and freedom.

Small class sizes means you’ll benefit from a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where your learning is the focus.

Who are the classes for?

The studio is a space for anyone keen to explore creativity: beginners who want to loosen up or more experienced artists who wish to bring greater energy and immediacy to their work. My classes are designed to gently re connect with the joy of making art without pressure or judgement.

Here, art isn’t about being ‘good’ it’s about expression, confidence and finding your own unique way of seeing the world.
