Landscape Drawing in Sketchbooks

About this course

Drawing 'plein air' in our sketch books, in the wonderful rural landscape surrounding the studio, we will experiment with charcoal, and ink and wash paintings gaining confidence in our individual styles. With encouragement you will gain techniques to facilitate enjoying drawing outside independently

We will learn how to really look, how to see things in relation to another. We will draw overviews with emphasis on good composition avoiding too much detail. Using a minimal, portable kit we will see how beautiful drawings can be made with very limited materials and how drawing directly from life, rather than from photographs allows us to chose our own unique focus.

Hot vegetarian lunch included.Tea, coffee,biscuits, available throughout.

If weather poor we will adjourn inside and continue to draw through the huge picture windows.
