Paper Cutouts

Artquest London 30/30 challenge February 2026

Inspired by the challenge of making a new piece of work each day for 30 days during the month of February, I began experimenting with painted and monoprinted paper cut outs. This was a new way of working for me and produced some interesting results. I’m particularly fond of ‘Blue Nest.’ I was fortunate to have received funding from Moving Art Management to visit Matisse 1941-1954 at The Grand Palais, Paris Matisse truly is the master of the cut out, the exhibition was thrilling and I’m looking forward to developing this method of working.
