About this course

Shake off the stillness of winter with some live action drawing. Working from a clothed model, we will learn how to capture human form with minimal mark making ,layering our drawing we will give the impression of motion, working up to drawing a moving figure, all in three hours. A fun workshop designed to inspire and energise.

Working on drawing boards on newsprint , we will use brush and ink to aid true and accurate mark making.

All materials included, just bring yourself and your energy. There are a couple of easels which we can take turns to use, its good to learn how to draw with both easel and drawing board. Ideally, we will be standing to draw but its fine to sit if that is more comfortable for you.
NB image shown is a nude, we will be drawing from a clothed figure.

Event FAQs

Is car parking available at the Studios?

Car parking is easy at Mole Studios , the studio door is a few yards from the car park .

Please note that the landscaping is not finished and that there is a step up from ground level into the studio.

Who are the classes for?

The studio is a space for anyone: beginners who want to loosen up or more experienced artists who wish to bring greater energy and immediacy to their work. My classes are designed to gently reconnect with the joy of making art without pressure or judgment.

Here, art isn’t about being ‘good’ it’s about expression, confidence and finding your own unique way of seeing the world.
