The Build Drawings

Throughout the build of my hempcrete home/studio I kept up my practice by making a drawn record of each stage of process. My favourite pieces are the ones showing the men casting the foundations. The builders’ acrobatic postures, as they stretched and balanced whilst tamping the wet cement, have so much energy and reflect the joy I felt as the first stage of building began.

Why not commission me to make a drawn record of your event?

A curated edit of these build drawings form the inaugural exhibition at Mole Gallery.
