The Old Mary Stanford Life boat house stands lonely and desolate on the bleak shingle ridges of Rye Harbour bay. It serves as a memorial to the tragedy of 1928 when all crew members lost their lives. A service of remembrance takes place each year on the 15th November to remember those that died and the families who lost loved ones.
